How we helped
Electrical Services were requested to provide specialist labour to assist the final termination & connection of all protection & control equipment within multiple control rooms & HVDC sub-station areas through-out the project.
Services provided by R&A included termination & connection of various specifications of AC & DC systems control cabling c/w integral earthing requirements at multiple control panels & numerous types of field located sub-station equipment. Due to our performance on both sites, R&A were requested to assist with the termination & OTDR testing of the fibre-optic cabling installation, which were carried out by R&A’s fibre-optic technician.
This phase of the project required working in very close partnership with all the relevant stakeholders including the site project team to ensure the successful completion of these works to accommodate ABB commissioning dates, which were successfully met at all stages.
